Game Nights – Pizza Sandwich

Pizza Sandwich-2

I’m starting off a new series today, “Game Nights”!

A few weeks ago we started having a Family Game Night once a week. My sister suggested them, so we could share more time together and have another chance to talk and bond. “We do the bonding” …have any of you watched The Wedding Planner?

My siblings are in charge of selecting the game and I am in charge of the meal. I select meals that are easy to make and I sometimes manage to make a little something sweet. This activity has become a real treat!

This isn’t exactly a recipe; it’s more like an idea, as it doesn’t have specific ingredients or measures.

Take 1 or 2 loaves of your favourite bread, cut in half lengthwise and spread Italian tomato sauce. Add toppings of your preference, like turkey ham, onions, mushrooms and sprinkle mozzarella cheese. Divide into the amount of players. Place on a baking sheet and heat in the oven, or in a countertop toaster oven, until the cheese has melted.

Do you have “Game Nights” with family or friends? What games have you played? What is your favourite kind of food?

This looks so good! My family has had a great recipe where we mix ground meat, favorite spices, and sour cream to put on the bread. Then top it off with bell pepper, cheese and any other veggies your like. Now I’m hungry!
